80kms drive from Siliguri through the rolling hill slopes and green belt of Dooars plains will take you to Samsing. There are several short treks originating from Samsing. A 2 hrs trek from Samsing through some beautiful remote villages and terraced paddy and maize fields reaches Mouchuki- the entry point to Neora Valley National Park. Situated on a hilltop the place offers a birds eye view of a huge Dooars plains dotted with tea gardens and forests.
Most thrilling trek in the Neora Valley Park starts from Mouchuki to Rechela - highest point of the Park. The most adventurous trek in North Bengal takes at least 3 days to Rechela via Bhotegarh and Thusum through the dense forest and another 3 days to Lava via Aluabari.

Samsing Rocky Island camp is a tent resort on the bank of river Murti. The gorgeous river flows by the side of Neora Valley National Park. The river has unearthed massive rocks in its way along with natural water pools and caves. This is the surrounding in which Rocky island camp is located. Rocky island can be considered as an eco-tourism destination.
The campsite has semi-permanent kitchen, dormitory and lavatory set up. Most of the accommodation is organized in light tents. This allows guests to spend the night at a spot of their choosing in the large open space of the campsite. The Murti river and the rocks on its banks is an ideal place for adventure activities like rock climbing, river crossing etc. The Neora valley national park is just a mile away and is quite suitable for short treks during the day.
